Wiki restricted setting change requests
Welcome to restricted wiki setting changes requests!

This page can be used to request that Stewards change a setting that is restricted and cannot be changed by bureaucrats, including generation of image dumps on Special:DataDump, enabling or disabling extensions that require a Steward to enable them (such as Cargo, Semantic MediaWiki).


To make a request, copy the following code and place it at the very bottom of this page. Replace every section as needed:

You can switch it off locally by unticking "Manage this wiki's additional settings" → "Capital Links ($wgCapitalLinks)" in ManageWiki; to enable it by namespace thereafter, please use "Manage this wiki's namespaces" → "Manage existing namespaces" → NS + Submit → "Force the first letter of links to capitals. Constant Noble

  • Reason(s): Turns out {{Code}} (as used by MH Meta and my wiki) makes use of {{#tag:syntaxhighlight}}, which has been listed as "expensive" since mw:1.39. This mild snafu affects four geofiction-tutorial pages of mine, as tracked at that site's "Pages with too many expensive parser function calls" listing. Volunteer comment: There is no indication that Semantic MediaWiki is used for w:Template:Reflist it is not in the documentation nor the w:Template:Reflist/Transwiki_guide. The only extension that needs this is mw:Extension:Semantic Cite which is not available on Miraheze.
